Monitoring

Monitoring technologies can be extremely helpful for companies. These technologies allow you to see what is being said about your company, and figure out what is important to your customers. Monitoring technologies allow companies to monitor everything that is being said about them via social media. I am not on Twitter, but I think TweetDeck is my favorite. I just love they way the dashboard is set-up, and it seems very user friendly. I couldn't get to far into it, because I don't have a Twitter account.
I checked out Google Alerts, and found that to be pretty interesting. I set-up a couple different alerts, and am interested to see what it comes up with. For our class project, my group is deciding between Red Bull and Vera Bradley. I set-up Google alerts for both of those brands, and I hope I can get some good information from it. I had a hard time trying to find examples of these technologies. I am sure that every company uses them in some way. I found a website that offered tips on how to use Google alerts. I thought this would be helpful for everyone in class, because we are starting to do research for our group projects.
